June 29, 2019 - The Native American 5K National Championship is open to all American Indians /Alaska Natives and First Nations people of Canada with tribal membership.

The Community 5k Run is open to all with no restrictions.

The USATF NM Association road state championship awards will be awarded to individuals who have a current 2019 New Mexico USATF Association membership on the day of the race.

RUNNING MEDICINE and the Sports Warriors Track Club will be co-beneficiaries of the proceeds from this years event. Both programs fall under the Native Health Initiative organization which provides multiple services at little or no cost to individuals and organizations through loving service.

The Course

The 5k course is a two-loop paved flat course designed for extremely fast altitude times. All divisions of the 5K run are eligible for state age group records.


1 & 2 Mile Fitness Walks | 7:30 am
5k Runs (All Divisions) | 8:00 am
1k Youth Run | 9:00 am
Toddler 300 Meter Dash | 9:15 am
Awards | 9:45 am
Traditional Pueblo Throw | 10:30 am
Public is invited to participate in the Pueblo Throw
Special recognition and honoring of Coach Michael Daney

From I-25: West on Paseo del Norte to Coors exit. Go south on Coors to first stop light (Frontage Rd) and turn left (east) Continue ½ mile on to school campus.
From I-40: North on Coors 5 miles to Frontage Rd and stop light. Turn right (east) ½ miles onto school campus.
*A RAM Service Station and SIPI sign is located at the stop light. SIPI campus is directly east of the intersection.
